Echmiazin (Էջմիածին) is the 4th largest city in Armenia, located in the Armavir region about 12 mi (20 km) west of the capital Yerevan, and lies on the plain of the Aras River. The city is also known as Vagharshapat until 1945; founded in 685 BC. Its population is about 46,000. It is a very special place for Armenians. City of Echmiazin is best known as the location of Echmiadzin Cathedral, Mother See of Holy Echmiazin, and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which has the seat of the supreme catholicos, or primate. Nearby, there is the Cemetery of Congregation, Saint Gayaneh Church, Saint Hripsimeh Church, Saint Shoghakat Church, and Zvartnots Cathedral ruins.

Project #62; Cost $1,198: In 2016, FOA provided 50 new beds for the children of the Kindergartens #13.
Project #25; Cost $5,413: In 2007, FOA built a new Artisian water pump and Piping system.
Project #22; Cost $14,400: In 2006, FOA renovated Kindergarten #13 by replacing the roof, windows, flooring, and the walls.

Project #16; Cost $35,060: In 2004, FOA renovated the Kitchen, bathrooms, 3 classrooms, and the auditorium of Kindergarten #5, and equipped them with new fixtures and furnishings.
