Hovtashen (Հովտաշեն) is a village in the Shirak Province of Armenia. Hovtashen has about 294 residents and an elevation of 1,596 metres. The village was founded in the 1920s. Armenians from Surmalu, Nakhchivan and Nukh regions settled in the village.
